Preface to special issue on strong motion

摘要：The term,strong motion seismology,has been emerged recently years and more and more researchers believe this could be a new branch of both seismology and earthquake engineering.The scientific goal of this branch is understanding the phenomena of ground motion and also to prevent economic loss by providing an accurate description of seismic hazards.It concerns with the nearfield strong ground motion.
